Each session includes connection practices that encourage coherence between you and your partner and a series of partner dependent yoga poses to increase body awareness, flexibility and mobility which will get us prepared for more fun and challenging acro-poses. Here you will develop your skills in a safe and nurturing environment as you learn the fundamentals of basing and flying.
After playing around with these dynamic poses, we will then re-engage in a deep state of relaxation through something called therapeutic flying yoga which involves assisted mobility exercises and gentle massage techniques.
From here we have the perfect conditions to begin a short meditation and then finish off the session in savasana.
The intent of partner yoga is to bring people together through movement, play, stillness and loving touch to experience a deepened sense of intimacy and connectedness to one another and ourselves
My yoga journey began just over 3 years ago after suffering from sciatica. I was able to relieve my pain under the tuition of a well-known yoga teacher and author. She told me that daily practice would relieve my symptoms, and low and behold, it did. And I've been doing yoga ever since!
Chloe and Adriaan are trained in vinyasa, partner yoga, therapeutic yoga and acro-yoga
