Camberwell Leisure Centre is located in Artichoke Place and it houses two pools. The main one is 25 meters long, 10 meters wide, with a shallow end of 1.3 meters, a deep end of 1.8 meters and a swimmable area of 250 square meters with a pool hoist. The learner’s pool is 10 meters wide, 10 meters long with a swimmable area of 100 square meters, a shallow end of 0.8 meters and a deep end of 1 meter. The venue offers the following facilities: Parking, Changing Facilities, Accessible Parking, Accessible Entrance, Accessible Changing, Accessible Toilets, Pre-School Swimming Lessons, Advanced Swimming Lessons, Aquatics Fitness Sessions, Women Only Sessions, Family Swims, Lane Swimming, Lighting / Sensory. Camberwell Leisure Centre first opened its doors in 1892, but thanks to a recent makeover, it now has some of the most cutting-edge facilities that are offered by Everyone Active. Their swimming programs are among the best in the country, and they are held in one of our two pools or in their state-of-the-art fitness facility, depending on what your goals are: getting in shape, losing weight, or shaping your body. After participating in one of the many beneficial group fitness classes that are provided at this facility, you may relax, refuel, and revitalize in their café. Group exercise classes are open to anybody. At certain times throughout the week, all residents of Southwark have the opportunity to take advantage of free swim and gym time at council-owned facilities. At this facility, there is no longer a need for the use of cash. As a consequence, wait times for consumers are cut significantly, and those who are already in line get improved service.
