Thamesmere Leisure Centre is located on Thamesmere Drive and has two swimming pools. The main pool is 25 meters in length, 13 meters in width, 1.5 meters deep and a shallow end of 0.9 meters and a total area of 325 m2. The main pool is also equipped with a poolpod for easy access in and outside the pool. The second pool is destined for learners and is 12 meters long, 12 meters wide, with both shallow and deep ends at only 0.75 meters and a total swimmable area of 144 m2. Conveniently situated in Thamesmead's centre is the Thamesmere Leisure Centre. The centre boasts excellent amenities, including a library, a fitness studio, a shallow teaching pool, a gym, and a 25-meter fitness pool. Parking is also free. It is easily accessible by public transportation from Woolwich Arsenal, Abbey Wood, and Plumstead stations and is close to Erith, Crayford, and Bexleyheath by car. Everyone can join the centre and participate in its activities. These include wonderful adult fitness sessions, swimming lessons for kids and adults, and much more. Other facilities are parking, accessible parking, accessible entrance, accessible changing, accessible toilets, pre-school swimming lessons and under 5s fun swims.
